Role description

You are part of the Sales & Business development team of Molenbergnatie. You develop and apply the commercial strategy that was described together with the management. You do this within Europe and the domain (market/product/customer) for which you are responsible. You put Molenbergnatie on the map by promoting and participating in trade fairs, seminars and events. You ensure revenue growth of existing customers and expand our customer portfolio. You will work under the responsibility of the Business Unit Manager (based in HQ, Belgium), in close cooperation with the Product Managers.

Your office is based close to the Port of Barcelona.

What are your responsibilities?

  • You are responsible for the realization of the qualitative and quantitative sales objectives

  • You participate in the commercial action plan and apply it

  • You use a mix of hunting, farming, prospecting, networking and promotion

  • You organize, coordinate, manage and control sales to optimize results

  • You analyze the results and, if necessary, take measures

  • You prepare the sales budgets and follow them up periodically

  • You draw up quotations and maintain the tariff lists in our system

  • You make sales calls and negotiate with the customers

  • You represent Molenbergnatie at meetings, fairs, seminars and sector events at home and abroad

  • You are responsible for the promotion of Molenbergnatie (sector organizations, social media, internet, ...)

  • You contribute to efficient contact management

Is this you?

  • You have received a higher education, supplemented with work experience in B2B sales of services

  • You have (commercial) experience in logistics, port sector or trading. Experience in coffee is a strong plus!

  • You are socially driven and you enjoy the development of a professional network;

  • You are result-oriented;

  • You approach professional situations tactically to take advantage of them;

  • You function well both in a team and independently;

  • You are eager to learn and willing to delve into the logistics for soft commodities;

  • You travel easily, including multi-day trips abroad;

  • You have as strong customer focus;

  • You have well developed communication & networking skills;

  • Negotiations and influencing key stakeholders come natural to you;

  • Your English is fluent, both in writing as spoken;

  • You are tech savvy to use MS office applications, Outlook, Navision, ... effectively.
