Molenbergnatie has
known it for over 150 years: working in the Antwerp harbour holds many
advantages. It is a place where different world and (company) cultures meet.
And yet few professionals and graduates realise exactly how many interesting
job opportunities the harbour offers. The prejudice remains that it only
requires stevedores, bypassing the reality there are lots of vacancies for
shipping agents, commercial and administrative talents, technicians and many
more.
To improve the image
of the Antwerp harbour as a potential employer and spread the word about the
vacancies available, Alfaport Antwerp decided to launch an advertising
campaign. This in cooperation with several major companies in the harbour, such
as Molenbergnatie. The campaign
#myjobisbetterthanyours, was introduced through social media and immediately
went viral within the harbour community.
